County Commissioner Jerry “Iceman” Butler, the late Mayor Harold
Washington (lending a huge helping hand with Washington’s renowned
slogan:  Nobody but Harold), and Chicago’s very own Mayor Richard M.
Daley.  Derrick Maxwell’s community participation also includes dedication to
Hands Across America, Back to School parade, and After Magazine special
affairs.  Maxwell comes from a family with an interesting musical
background.  His mother was a vocalist, and his father played the guitar for
artist such as Howling Wolf, Jimmy Reed, & Muddy Waters.  His sister,
Barbara LeShore, is a well known female blues vocalist and one of the first
ladies of blues.  An inspiration to Mr. Maxwell indeed!  Now Mr. Maxwell is
recording his CD while working with Record Family Music Group.
